PhD position in Psycholinguistics and Construction Grammar
The Research Training Group DFG GRK 1624/2 "Frequency effects in language" at the University of Freiburg, Germany (http://frequenz.uni-freiburg.de/abstract&language=en), invites applications for a PhD position in a project supervised by
Prof. Dr. Lars Konieczny (http://portal.uni-freiburg.de/cognition/mitarbeiter/konieczny/) and Prof. Dr. Martin Hilpert (http://members.unine.ch/martin.hilpert/).

This is a university position, with a period of appointment of two years, starting April 1 2016, with the possibility to be extended for another six months. The position involves working in a project investigating the explanatory adequacy of construction grammars and the psychological reality of constructions. Work packages include designing, conducting and running psycholinguistic experiments, as well as analyzing experimental and corpus data. Knowledge of German is a prerequisite. The position is at the rank of Akademischer Mitarbeiter (German scale TV-L E13 65\% = 25.675 hrs/week). Salary increases with experience.

Ideal candidates have an excellent Masters degree in Cognitive Science, Linguistics, Psychology or a related field and link to the strengths of the group and the excellent research context in Freiburg. Candidates should have a solid background in experimental psycholinguistics, should be familiar with Construction Grammar, as well as with data analysis in R. Experience with eyetracking techniques is a plus.
