MA TESOL is a two-year program requiring a completion of 10 courses related to ESL and language acquisition.  The program is recommended for teachers of English as a Foreign/Second/Additional language. Program highlights:
    Innovative programming including traditional approaches (language skills, assessment, curricula and language acquisition), recent advances in the area (sociolinguistics, identity, and cultural aspects of ESL), and an optional teaching practicum for students who may need to take it for certification;
    Combining the ESL approaches from Applied Linguistics and Education perspectives;
    A course on the use of technology in ESL classrooms;
    Small interactive classes taught by experienced friendly instructors;
    Flexibility: students can pursue their individual interests in 3 electives courses;
    Individual advising for students on their programs.
    Admissions
Applications for the program of study starting on September 1, 2016, should be made by March 1, 2016.
